Cost of Membership

Because Friends Getting Together is run by volunteers, the cost of
membership is low. It costs only $35.00 a year to belong to FGT. There is also a
$25.00 joining fee. The cost of activities is the responsibility of individual members. However, costs are kept to a reasonable level with a range of activities to suit every budget.
A number of functions are generously subsidised by FGT

Privacy

Friends Getting Together is committed to keeping your personal details confidential and secure. All personal information held by FGT is used for club purposes only. It is not passed onto other members and any other third party, but is only used to ensure that members get the maximum enjoyment from their involvement in FGT.

Activities

We run activities that include, among other things, meals at restaurants, hotels and clubs, dancing,  B-B-Q’s, film and theatre nights, golf, discussion groups, book club, walking and cycling.
In fact the range of activities that we provide is limited only by the interests of our members and their preparedness to organize them.                                                                                         
All our activities are publicised in our monthly newsletter which is sent to all members. We are run entirely by volunteers and have operated in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs for nearly 20 years. 
        

Friends Getting Together  (FGT) is an active social group for singles 50 years and over. Our mission is to offer friendship, through a variety of social activities, in a friendly and welcoming environment. FGT is not a dating agency.
